The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially opened the GEEP Loan Application Portal for Nigerians interested in accessing interest-free loans under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP).
This online application follows the earlier nationwide data capture exercise carried out by government-appointed enumerators, who manually collected details from small business owners, traders, farmers, and artisans across the country.
The GEEP initiative was first introduced in 2016 during the administration of Muhammadu Buhari as part of Nigeria’s broader strategy to promote financial inclusion, reduce poverty, and empower low-income earners.
Today, the programme operates under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and remains a core component of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).
