Thousands of Nigerians have already applied for the ongoing Nigeria Police Force (NPF) recruitment, and as of today, we are officially in Day 3 of the application process.

First, What Does “Successful Application” Mean?

At this stage of the recruitment, a successful application does NOT mean you have been shortlisted yet.

A successful application simply means that:

• Your details were submitted correctly on the official portal
• Your application was accepted into the NPF database
• You are eligible to be considered for screening and shortlisting
• Shortlisting, screening, and training come later.

How to Know If Your Nigeria Police Application Was Successful

1. Check for Application Completion Message

Immediately after submitting your form, the portal should display a message similar to:

“Application submitted successfully”

If you saw this message before exiting the portal, it means your application was received.

2. Confirm That You Printed or Saved Your Application Slip

A major sign of successful submission is the application slip.

If you were able to:

• Print the slip, or
• Download/save it as PDF

Then your application went through successfully.

If you did not save or print it, return to the portal and log in using the same details you used during registration.

3. Check Your Email Inbox (and Spam Folder)

Some applicants receive a confirmation email, while others may not, both situations are normal.

Please check:

• Inbox
• Spam folder
• Promotions tab (for Gmail users)

⚠️ Not receiving an email does NOT automatically mean failure.

4. No SMS Yet? Don’t Panic

The Nigeria Police Force has not started sending screening or shortlisting SMS

Messages usually come after the application portal closes

So if you have not received any SMS yet, you are not alone.

Common Reasons Applicants Think Their Application Failed (But It Didn’t)

Many applicants panic unnecessarily. Here are common misunderstandings:

❌ “The portal logged me out” → Normal due to high traffic

❌ “No email confirmation” → Not compulsory for everyone

5. Training invitation
